Out of over 51,000 non-profit organizations in the State of Tennessee, Caring Resources (Hurt to Hope & Hurt to Hope for Churches) was one of thirteen organizations awarded with a very honorable award.

The Governor’s Award of Excellence recognizes and highlights great work being done by faith communities, nonprofits, and community initiatives across the state that effectively changes the lives of citizens of Tennessee. Caring Resources has been selected by a regional committee for honoring your commitment to helping individuals in your community overcome painful experiences. You are acting as a beacon of light as you support, give resources, and share the hope all can have in Christ.
The 13 organizations that were selected come from large metropolitan areas and rural areas. Many were chosen because of their efforts during natural disasters. Others are recognized for their work with seniors, families, children, education, healthcare, housing, and workforce development. Cumulatively, all these nonprofits and houses of worship have made meaningful and important contributions to their communities and are worthy of recognition.
